Job Title
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Leader to join our team. The Senior Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care and individual case management to clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Nursing team
* Mentor and develop a small team of Enrolled Nurses
* Conduct nursing risk assessments and monitor pre-existing medical conditions
* Contribute to admissions, intake and discharge review and process
* Develop client individual treatment and recovery plans
* Attend GP appointments with clients and ensure understanding of health needs
* Liaise with allied health professionals as required
* Administer medications according to prescriptions and observe effects
* Maintain comprehensive client documentation and case notes
Qualifications and Skills:
* Minimum 3 years' experience working within the alcohol and drug sector, mental health or other primary health care environment
* Demonstrated experience in conducting drug and alcohol withdrawal and physical assessments
* Knowledge of contemporary standards and evidence-based practice and interventions
* Excellent people management and leadership skills
* Exceptional interpersonal skills
* Bachelor's degree in nursing and current registration as Registered Nurse (Division 1)
* Ideally a Certificate IV in AOD or willingness to complete an AOD Skillset
