Join our supportive team as a Clinical Coder. This role will ensure the accurate and timely assignment of diagnoses and procedure codes using ICD‑10‑AM classification system and adherence to Australian Coding Standards.

What you'll be doing

The primary responsibility of a clinical coder is the accurate translation of narrative descriptions of diseases, injuries and procedures into alphanumeric codes using ICD‑10‑AM and the correct assignment of the DRG within the NSW Health and Northern Sydney Local Health District timeframes.


Qualifications

* Completion of HIMAA/OTEN coding course or relevant tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management.
* Demonstrated coding experience in a tertiary hospital using ICD‑10‑AM/ACHI and 3M Codefinder across a range of specialties with a proven knowledge and understanding of Australian Coding Standards and DRGs.
* Demonstrated experience with Patient Administration system/eMR such as Cerner.
