An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Support Officer to support the School Maintenance Plan (SMP) program.
The SMP is a five-year plan that helps schools to budget, schedule and manage the maintenance of their buildings and grounds. The SMP addresses maintenance issues identified through the Rolling Facilities Evaluation and enables schools to build a routine maintenance program that prevents the recurrence of these maintenance issues.
This role is located in the School Maintenance Advice and Planning (SMAP) Unit. The Project Officer will work closely and collaboratively as part of a team responsible for delivering the SMP program. The purpose of the role is to assist the SMAP Unit by:
1. coordinating the delivery of the SMP information sessions, including scheduling event logistics and managing registrations;
2. using/updating the department's Asset Information Management System (AIMS) with information on Hazards and routine-maintenance and condition-based maintenance tasks, as required;
3. coordinating and managing responses to stakeholder enquiries;
4. promoting and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including regional offices and schools;
5. supporting reporting and analysis activities undertaken by the SMAP Unit; and
6. providing administrative support to the SMAP Unit as required, including use of Eventbrite, general record keeping, and maintaining SharePoint and team email sites.
