This is a great opportunity for qualified lifeguards or operational staff looking to step up who value water safety and love working with people, to provide leadership and coaching to our team.



The Venue



Nestled in the heart of the Wellington community, the Wellington Aquatic Leisure Centre is a vibrant and much-loved seasonal facility that operates from September through March. Designed with families and fitness enthusiasts in mind, the centre features a spacious 50-metre outdoor pool ideal for lap swimming and swim training, a heated leisure pool perfect for relaxation and casual play, and an exciting splash pad that keeps kids entertained for hours, access to BBQ facilities and a cafe. With its strong community spirit and diverse offerings, the centre is more than just a pool—it's a social and recreational hub that brings people together.



Step Into Leadership – Aquatics Operations Coordinator



Are you ready to take the next big step in your aquatics career? We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic, reliable, and people-focused Aquatics Operations Coordinator to join our vibrant team!



This hands-on leadership role offers the perfect opportunity for an experienced Lifeguard or Duty Manager ready to level up in the leisure industry. You'll play a key part in shaping a safe, dynamic, and welcoming environment for our community, while supporting the Centre Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Centre.



You’ll be the driving force behind our Lifeguard and Duty Manager teams—leading by example, ensuring exceptional supervision, safety, and risk management standards, and fostering a high-performing team culture.

Skills & Attributes:

o Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
o Excellent verbal communication skills
o An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
o Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
o Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
o National Police Check
o Current Working with Children Check
o Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
o Current Pool Operations Certificate
o Previous experience and success in a comparable role
