Integrated Mental Health Inpatient Unit (Whyalla)
Whyalla Hospital is one of three SA regional hospitals that has an Integrated Mental Health Inpatient Unit (IMHIU). The IMHIU features six single bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a comfortably furnished dining and lounge area, making the environment as welcoming and home-like as possible. About the Role:
The Registered Nurse (Mental Health) delivers recovery-focused, evidence-based services across the multi-disciplinary Local Health Network (LHN) Mental Health service, tailored to the needs of consumers and the local community. Working across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings, the RN applies and develops a mix of preventative, early intervention, therapeutic, and evaluative approaches, including individual and family therapies, group programs, health promotion, and community development initiatives. Employees at this level progress from novice to proficient practitioners, continuously consolidating knowledge and skills through professional development, while accepting accountability for their own standards of care and the activities delegated to others.

About You:
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
* Be enrolled and/or willing to enrol in further postgraduate studies within Mental Health practice.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
* Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.
