Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced leader with a background in civil construction to fill a permanent, full-time or casual role.
The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate civil construction activities, ensuring road works and related projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
* Lead site crews, promoting teamwork and a positive safety culture.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to align daily operations with project timelines and quality standards.
* Monitor progress, resolve site issues, and implement solutions to meet production goals and targets.
* Conduct site inspections, ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation using digital tools.
* Participate in project planning, resource allocation, and procurement processes.
* Operate plant and machinery as required (holding current licences/competencies).
Key Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience supervising civil construction projects, particularly road works, with a minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leading hand role.
* Proven ability to organise, plan, and deliver projects to meet production goals and quality standards.
* Strong skills in reading and interpreting project plans and specifications and estimating resources.
* Competency in using computer tablets for site management and reporting tasks.
* A QLD driver's licence is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally to clients and stakeholders.
* Commitment to upholding and implementing high safety and environmental standards.
* Ability to role model and integrate organisational values and behaviours within your team.
* Willingness to mentor, share knowledge, and participate in training and meetings.
* Physical fitness and ability to participate in manual handling and site activities as required.
* Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
