Key Responsibilities of the Culinary Operations Manager:

The Head Chef plays a significant role in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents by providing delicious and nutritious meals. The Head Chef is responsible for managing the entire kitchen operations, overseeing the staff and ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained.

Menu Planning

">

Assist with the design of diverse menus that cater to the dietary requirements of Arcare residents, taking into consideration their specific health conditions, dietary needs and preferences.

">


Food Preparation

">

Preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring they are prepared with fresh ingredients and follow proper food handling and food safety protocols.

">


Quality Control

">

Evaluate and ensure that all meals meet high-quality standards in taste, appearance and portion sizes.

">

Maintain regular communication with residents regarding meal choices, preferences and satisfaction.

">


Inventory & Budget Management

">

Efficiently manage the kitchen's stock levels and budget by sourcing ingredients cost-effectively and minimizing food waste.

">

Liaise with suppliers to obtain the freshest ingredients at competitive prices.

">


Nutritional Analysis

">

Collaborate with dietitians and nutritionists to analyze the nutritional content of the meals, aiming to provide well-balanced and healthy options for residents.

">

Develop meal plans that cater to individual residents' dietary needs and preferences.

">

Achieve consistency in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals throughout the facility.

">

Broaden culinary knowledge through ongoing education and training opportunities.

">

Support a positive working environment within the kitchen team, fostering teamwork and open communication.

Maintain effective relationships with colleagues and management to promote efficient kitchen operations.
