More than 950 people choose to work at Fronditha Care, caring for elders across our 5 residential facilities in Melbourne and Newcastle, in their homes and in the community, across metropolitan Melbourne.About The OpportunityWe currently have multiple opportunities for either part-time or casual personal care workers to join our dedicated team at our Newcastle residential aged care facility. You will play a critical role in delivering person-centred care to our elderly residents. The role is ideal for compassionate individuals with a strong commitment to aged care, who take pride in making a meaningful difference in the lives of older Australians.The Day-to-day ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence management, while ensuring residents feel comfortable and respected.Assist residents with mobility, transferring, and positioning using safe manual handling techniques.Assist residents with meals and fluids, and support any specific dietary requirements.Monitor the physical, emotional and cognitive conditions of residents, promptly reporting any concerns, changes or incidents to Senior staff.Maintain up to date and detailed care records, maintaining compliance with care plans, policies and regulatory requirements.Encourage residents to maintain their independence by making their own choices in their care and daily activities.Provide compassionate support to residents receiving short-term respite care.Follow infection prevention procedures, hygiene protocols and workplace safety guidelines.What Success Looks Like For This RoleCertificate III in Aged Care or equivalent.At least one year experience in a residential aged care facility.Previous experience providing personal care services in an aged care setting, including assisting with activities of daily living.Knowledge of incident reporting procedures and the ability to report safety concerns, hazards or resident incidents as per facility policies.A current National Police Check.Why choose Fronditha Care?Fronditha Care is driven by our ethos of providing a Bounty of Care that extends to our clients and employees.
