Senior Officer - TMR Contracts
This is a varied and challenging role that will have the successful applicant assist in the preparation of procurement documents and review responses to ensure effective & efficient delivery of contracts.
The role is part of the Operations Roads and Drainage team and Department of Transport and Main Roads, and the focus is on continuous improvement and customer service.
About the Role
* Support the Coordinator TMR Contracts with the programming, coordination, and contracts administration of contract works.
* Ensure quality products, value for money, timely delivery, and the health and safety of staff.
* Provide technical assistance to other units of the Directorate as requested.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in developing TMR contracts operational workflow and managing activities to ensure efficiency.
* Contract administration and management services to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of contracts.
* Prepare procurement documentation for external contractor pricing, review of contractor responses prior to engagement for works, and sub-contractor management and supervision.
* Provide technical support to the road maintenance delivery team and asset management team.
* Implement quality assurance systems across maintenance and TMR contracts.
* Investigate, collate, monitor, and evaluate information to provide reports on key performance indicators and outcomes of TMR contracts.
Requirements
* Experience in administering a Department of Main Roads, Road Maintenance Performance Contracts.
* Knowledge of the principles of project management.
* Knowledge of relevant contemporary practice and legislation.
* Practical knowledge of industry best practices for maintenance treatment selection, workflow, and work practice.
