We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to providing person-centred support to our participants in our Goulburn region. We are seeking casuals to work within our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, with flexibility and availability to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and overnight with occasional weekend work.
You will be part of a dynamic team delivering person-centred support to participants with a strong focus on building independent living skills and increasing social connections with participation in community activities and/or employment.
Whilst every day brings new challenges, the general day-to-day duties include:
* Assisting with personal care tasks including showering, toileting and dressing.
* Preparing and assisting with meal preparation and feeding.
* Administering medication and offering mobility assistance including the use of lifts & hoists.
* Keeping accurate and up-to-date record-keeping and shift notes.
* Supporting participants with transport and attendance at appointments and community-based events.
* Offering meaningful and active support including skill building activities to enable participants to achieve their goals.
The hourly casual rate is between $43.23 - $47.16 (inclusive of casual loading) dependent upon relevant qualification and experience
What you need to succeed in the role:
* A genuine desire to provide high quality, person-centred support for people with disability.
* Creative approach in enabling an inclusive experience for people with disability at home and in the community.
* The ability to stay calm and be adaptable in challenging situations.
* Ability to work independently.
* An understanding of privacy and confidentiality and how to treat sensitive information appropriately.
* Confidence using a range of technical platforms to complete shift notes and incident reporting.
To be successful in the position, you will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check before commencement. You will also be required to have a current Australian Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Additionally, you will be required to have availability to attend a 2-week paid training program commencing from 9 June 2026.
