Reporting to the Director, Facilities and Security Services, the Assistant Director will manage the day to day Facilities and Security Services requirements of the organisation and manage the property contracts for all Agency premises nationally.
**Your specific duties will include**:
- Provide expert advice on policy, complex problem solving and issues management for internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure in-depth knowledge of and compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, government decision-making processes and agency guidelines and regulations
- Engage with risk, including the conduct of risk assessment and risk management activities for area of responsibility
- Providing high level support to management and staff, including policy advice on a range of property and security matters relevant to the Agency
- Manage a number of employees performing diverse tasks or manage a larger team where skill sets are similar and tasks are related
- Participating in Business Continuity and fraud control planning and response activities
- Identifying and managing property and protective security risk
- Manage contractors performing works on behalf of the Agency, from minor repairs to large scale fit outs and security upgrades.
- Prepare contracts for small and large projects, including fit outs of new spaces and upgrades to existing facilities.
- Managing faults with facilities, including organizing repairs and mitigating workplace health and safety risks.
- Oversee with facilities projects, including desk allocations, office moves and availability of appropriate resources.
