About the role
We're seeking a technician with experience in electromechanical systems — ideally across automotive A/C and HVAC service equipment. The primary focus of this role is servicing and repairing refrigerant recovery machines in our Homebush West workshop. There is also a reclaim component, processing refrigerant for clients who bring gas into the workshop. Occasional metro field work may be required. Training is provided, and we're happy to upskill the right person.
Responsibilities
● Service, test, and repair HVAC/auto A/C recovery machines and related equipment
● Manage reclaim jobs in the workshop (refrigerant processing for clients)
● Carry out basic electrical diagnostics and mechanical assembly/fault finding
● Keep service records and maintain a safe, tidy workspace
● Attend site jobs as needed and work unsupervised when required
Requirements
● Experience with electromechanical systems (Auto A/C or HVAC preferred)
● Hands-on familiarity with recovery units and refrigerant service tools
● Basic electrical knowledge (multimeter use, wiring checks) and strong mechanical aptitude
● Ability to work independently and complete jobs end-to-end
● Current driver's licence
● Trade certificate valued but not essential
● ARCtick licence
● Professional communication and a safety-first mindset
