This is an exciting chance for an experienced Industrial Electrician or Electrical Supervisor, with a trades background to join a global pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Your leadership will be instrumental in overseeing the maintenance and reliability engineering tasks, which include the redesign, upkeep, and repair of utility systems, buildings, and both production and non-production equipment.
The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the electrical maintenance and repair activities within the facility. This role ensures that all electrical systems and equipment are operating efficiently and safely. The Electrical Supervisor will lead a team of electricians, manage electrical contractors, coordinate maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of electricians in performing maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical systems.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve complex electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards, including conducting safety inspections and implementing safety measures.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and issues.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical systems and maintenance technologies.
Skills and Experience (Minimum Requirements):
- Must hold a current A-grade electrical license + Electrical qualification (Cert 4)
- 3 to 5 years of industrial electrician experience
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Knowledge of PLC, industrial electronics, and SCADA systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and judgment skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supervising a team of electricians, and the ability to mentor and develop team members
- Previous experience in a maintenance team in the pharmaceutical or food industry is preferred.
Preferred Requirements
- Additional Electrical Engineering or similar relevant qualifications
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills
