Job Description
A challenging leadership role in a fast-paced kitchen environment is now open. As a highly motivated and organized individual, you will be responsible for managing a team of up to 12 staff members at any given time, with varying levels of experience. Your key objectives will include hitting service times, controlling costs, and maintaining consistency across every shift.
Public holidays and school holiday periods are compulsory workdays, with an average of over 250 tickets per day during peak weekends. This is not a role for someone seeking a laid-back or relaxed kitchen experience.
You will work closely with the establishment's owner and take ownership of solving problems, leading by example, and driving results. In return, you can expect support and fair compensation based on your performance.
* Lead prep and service during high-volume periods
* Ensure food quality, speed, and presentation meet expectations
* Train and manage a diverse team of junior and senior staff
* Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant kitchen environment
* Optimize waste reduction and portion control
* Collaborate with the owner to improve systems and operations
* Work effectively under pressure and maintain focus throughout each shift
Requirements
* Proven experience in high-volume kitchens (250+ tickets/day)
* Strong leadership, kitchen, and front-of-house management skills
* Ability to motivate and develop a mixed-skill team
* Flexibility to work public holidays and full availability Thurs–Sun
* Comfortable with structured environments, discipline, and high expectations
* Open to feedback, improvement, and decisive decision-making
* Passionate about quality, efficiency, cost control, and development
* Calm, organized, and solution-focused in high-pressure situations
