Position Overview
The Restaurant Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of CU29 Restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient workflow, and compliance with all legal, safety, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to motivate a diverse team in a dynamic, high-quality dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
* Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service across all shifts.
* Implement and uphold CU29's service standards, quality control measures, and brand image.
* Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams to maintain seamless communication and workflow.
Staff Management & Development
* Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff to ensure high performance and adherence to CU29 policies.
* Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and development plans.
* Foster a positive workplace culture, encouraging teamwork, respect, and accountability.
Customer Service Excellence
* Maintain a strong presence on the floor to engage with guests and resolve issues promptly.
* Monitor and evaluate customer feedback, implementing improvements to enhance guest satisfaction.
* Promote a welcoming, professional, and memorable dining experience for all customers.
Financial & Inventory Management
* Assist with monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and work towards meeting revenue targets.
* Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier relations to ensure efficiency and minimize waste.
* Analyse sales reports and adjust operational strategies accordingly.
Compliance & Safety
* Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, health, and liquor licensing regulations in Western Australia.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and workplace safety in all areas.
* Oversee incident reporting, workplace safety checks, and risk management procedures.
Marketing & Business Development
* Collaborate with management on promotional activities, events, and seasonal campaigns.
* Support brand growth by maintaining a strong local reputation and leveraging customer loyalty programs.
* Engage with social media and marketing teams to promote CU29's offerings.

Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 2–5 years' experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in a premium or fine dining environment and in a high volume/marked–up venue.
* Certificate IV or higher in Hospitality Management (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience managing staff, budgets, and operations.
* Knowledge of WA food safety and liquor licensing laws.
* Competence with POS systems and reservation platforms.
