My client, a pioneering leader in the marine industry, requires a production scheduler as they look to begin production. The role is based in Bibra Lake and will pay up to $125,000 + Super.
Your new role
As a Production Planner / Analyst, you will play a crucial role through effectively developing, managing, analysing and optimising engineering, procurement and manufacturing processes, maintaining high standards of safety and quality and contributing to the overall success of manufacturing operations.
Production Planning / Scheduling
* Developing and managing detailed production plans / schedules for the engineering, procurement, manufacturing and testing of the Envirocart system.
* Utilising advanced planning and reporting tools in Microsoft Project to create and maintain schedules, which is a key requirement. Experience with Power BI would be an advantage, but not a requirement.
* Determining and levelling manpower requirements to meet production demands in a timely manner.
* Identifying and reporting on long-lead procurement items and developing strategies to mitigate their impacts.
* Conducting critical path analysis, identifying issues and developing solutions to eliminate and mitigate risks and accelerate production
* Coordinating with engineering, procurement & logistics, production, and finance departments to ensure production activities align with overall production and business goals.
* Liaising with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and production coordination.
* Producing accurate and timely weekly reports for the Senior Leadership Team on production status and progress updates, including performance metrics such as SPI, CPI, cash flow reports, EVM and man-hour S-curves.
Production Analysis / Optimisation
* Mapping workflows and Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) of the production process
* Analysing production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and risks.
* Producing accurate and timely reports on production status, actual versus budgeted costs, progress updates, and performance metrics, including safety and quality indicators.
* Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment to enhance efficiency, cost, quality and safety.
What you'll need to succeed
* Educational Background:
Preferably a tertiary technical or industrial engineering / management qualification.
* Professional Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in production planning, scheduling and analysis within manufacturing operations, project management or engineering environments. Technical Skills:

Demonstrated a high level of proficiency in production planning / scheduling in Microsoft Project and data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
