Your new role
- Prepare surfaces for painting and blasting (cleaning, sanding, masking).
- Assist with mixing and applying paints, primers, and coatings.
- Operate and maintain blasting equipment under supervision.
- Handle and organise painting and blasting materials safely.
- Perform basic touch-ups and finish work as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workshop area.
- Inspect surfaces for defects before and after coating.
Assist tradespeople with lifting, moving, and positioning components.
- What you'll need to succeed
- Previous Painting & Blasting Experience
- High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (desirable)
- Driver's Licence
- Ability to complete Pre-Employment Medical
- Have contactable references
Be living locally in the Mackay Region

What you'll get in return
Upon successful application, you’ll secure a long-term position in a local Mackay workshop. You will work a 4/3 (Mon-Thurs) roster, with an opportunity for overtime. You will receive a weekly pay and will commence ASAP. This position has the opportunity to transition into a full-time role if you’re the right fit for the business.
