About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Store Design Draftsman to join our team at our Clayton office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting the design of new and refurbished stores, and minor works within Australia and New Zealand, ensuring all stores are ready for construction.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with clients on store development projects, using your drafting skills to produce complete construction drawings independently.
You will also be required to assist project managers to ensure a smooth design approval process, allowing construction to start on time. Additionally, you will need to undertake site inspections as necessary and obtain and understand all statutory building compliance requirements.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in retail drafting/documenting, with 1-2 years of relevant experience in ArchiCAD and/or REVIT documentation roles. You should also have relevant qualifications in building design documentation, design, or drafting, as well as experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project and Excel.
A strong understanding of building codes in Australia and New Zealand is essential, and you must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage confidential information. High attention to detail, solid planning skills, and excellent communication skills are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design Documentation of initial store layouts as well as full documentation
* Assisting project managers to ensure a smooth design approval process
* Producing complete Construction Drawings independently
* Undertaking site inspections if necessary
* Ongoing compliance with building codes and regulations
Requirements:

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position working 8 hour shifts. The ability to commute/relocate to Clayton, VIC is required.
