About the role
We are seeking a hardworking and professional Receptionist to join our team at Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity to be the face of our organisation.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting and welcoming visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner
* Assist with bookings, scheduling, and preparation for meetings or events as required
* Monitor and respond to emails and general enquiries, referring calls & messages as needed
* Answering and directing incoming phone calls, taking clear messages, and maintaining a telephone log
* Handling incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
* Ensure reception and communal spaces, including the boardroom, are clean, organised, culturally respectful, and that all supplies are stocked
* Maintain and order supplies as needed
* Provide administrative support to MGAC (Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation) staff, such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and assistance with internal communications
* Provide support to Member Services, including assisting with application processing and liaising with MGAC (Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation) Members.
* Ensure the MGAC (Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation) office is open between 9 am - 4:30 pm each weekday
* Assisting with various other administrative duties as required
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role
* Experience in delivering a range of administrative support functions in an office environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people with diverse backgrounds
* Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook for correspondence, data entry, and scheduling
* A friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude
* A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
* Good typing skills with accuracy for data entry and correspondence
* Self-motivated and able to work autonomously with a flexible and proactive attitude
* Professional presentation and an understanding of confidentiality requirements
* Culturally respectful with an understanding of our community context
Qualifications & Requirements
* Relevant qualification in Administration or Reception duties (Cert IV or Diploma in Business Administration). Desirable but not essential
* Current C Class driver's licence
* Current Police clearance
