About the role
In these critical roles, you'll lead the coordination, preparation and monitoring of operating and capital budgets, build future‑focused financial and workforce plans, and deliver insightful analysis that empowers confident decision making. You'll take ownership of monthly reporting, costing models, variance analysis and divisional financial performance—while championing compliance, strengthening processes and driving continuous improvement across our financial frameworks.
Our ideal candidate is a confident communicator and trusted advisor with strong experience in management accounting, supported by a relevant tertiary qualification (ICA/CPA/IPA eligibility). You'll bring advanced analytical and systems capability, including proficiency with complex financial management systems and Excel, and a natural ability to interpret and translate financial data into meaningful insights.
If you thrive on building relationships, partnering collaboratively with operational and non‑finance teams, juggling competing priorities and contributing to strategic planning—this is your opportunity to add real value, influence outcomes and help shape the financial success of our organisation.
About You
To excel in this role, you should possess:
* Possession of a tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance or Accounting that provides eligibility for membership to ICAA, CPA or IPA.
* Substantial management accounting experience (including budgeting) in a medium to large capital-intensive organisation within an accrual-based environment, and ability to resolve accounting related problems.
* Substantial experience in the use of complex financial management systems in an operational environment as well as sound expertise using Excel spreadsheets.
* Well‑developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders on a range of accounting, finance and operational matters; communicate effectively with both finance and non‑finance audiences; work collaboratively within a team to achieve shared goals; and develop, engage and provide direction to others.
