Overview
High‐impact engineering role building the core data and analytics platform of a growing Fintech. A fast‐scaling Fintech supporting investment managers and their portfolio companies. As an early engineering hire, you'll work on complex data challenges, shape core architecture, and build systems that directly influence real‐world investment decisions. This role is ideal for engineers who value technical ownership, breadth, and meaningful product impact.
What You'll Do
* Build and maintain backend data pipelines in Python.
* Develop robust APIs and integrations with financial data sources.
* Manage and optimise relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
* Implement and support quantitative logic used for financial modelling.
* Contribute to the reliability, performance, and security of our AWS infrastructure.
What We're Looking For
* Experience designing and scaling backend or data‐intensive systems.
* Proficiency with relational databases and performance tuning.
* Cloud experience (AWS preferred).
* Exceptional analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Comfort operating independently in a fast‐moving environment.
* Bonus: experience with financial data, quantitative workflows, or high‐performance systems.
