**The Role**
- Accurate and timely completion of goods received in the Piping and Mechanical stores
- Store P&M specialised parts and materials inventory ensuring accurate location and record keeping
- Maintain and control of P&M Tooling stores
- Picking, packaging and kitting of P&M parts and materials from drawings and or parts list
- Despatching of P&M parts and materials to sub-contractors according to schedules.
- Stocktaking and reordering of P&M consumables
- Liaise with Procurement team and the P&M Senior Workforce Planner, ensuring an optimal process on the reordering and backordering of goods is completed
- Safe operation of forklift as per usage procedure
- Provide forklift services for P&M material movement around site
- Provide a high-level service to the P&M production team
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Provide a high level of customer service to Piping and Mechanical Department, ensuring tools, materials and equipment are readily available for consumption into projects
- Assist lead roles with the day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations
- Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks) in a safe manner whilst maintaining an operator license
- Stowing, picking, packaging and handling of goods in line with procedures for safe storage and/or transit of goods
- Liaise with Procurement team ensuring an optimal process on the reordering and backordering of goods, as well as providing accurate and timely feedback on received goods
- Ensure housekeeping standards are adhered to
**Skills & Experience**
- 5 + years relevant Warehousing and Logistics experience within a Marine Support, Engineering, Manufacturing or Defence organisation
- Drivers Licence & Forklift Ticket (essential)
- Familiarity with Piping and Mechanical equipment and parts used within the Marine construction field.
- Good technological knowledge of the goods, materials and/or services procured to ensure satisfactory quality and performance
- Computer literate with experience with Pronto / IFS would be an advantage
- Working experience in a computerised ERP environment
- Have strong communication, interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate a Safe approach to all work conducted
- Ability to identify and implement workplace improvements in consultation with the Senior Workface Planner
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System would be advantageous
- Proactive approach to safety in the workplace
- Be physically fit with the ability to work in a fast paced production environment and to complete the required responsibilities in a safe, efficient and professional manner

**Desirable**:
- Dangerous Goods (DG) handling experience
- Training in Continuous Improvement Systems (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)
- Tertiary level qualifications in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or similar
- Participation in High Performing Team training
- Pronto or IFS experience
