Practice Manager Assistant leading to Practice Manager Role
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of our family medical practice. We are looking for 4 days per week.
As the Practice Manager Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the GPs and reception team, ensuring smooth administrative and operational workflows while maintaining a high level of patient care and service and step into the Practice Manager role to cover periods of absence.
This role provides an opportunity to help shape the practice's continued success and growth.
Primarily we would like the successful candidate to transition into the Practice Manager Position. Our practice has always been very clinically focused, so we are very interested Registered Nurse applicants with Management experience.
Key Responsibilities - General
* Provide support to the Practice Manager with staff management and general administrative processes
* Become familiar with all functions of the Practice clinical system and applications plus quality standards for primary care/general practice
* Undertake regular delegated tasks and special projects as delegated by the Practice Manager
* Assist the Practice Manager in compiling and updating policies and procedures in all areas of the Practice
* Ensure effective delegation where appropriate
* The range of work undertaken in providing management support will vary in detail in the light of changing demands and priorities within the Practice
* Take responsibility for staff management and the efficient delivery of administrative and customer service aspects of the Centre in the Practice Manager's absence
* Maintaining a safe, healthy, and professional working environment
