Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Barista with at least 2 years of café or hospitality experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and beverages, providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting daily café operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages including espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white, and cold drinks.
* Operate commercial coffee machines and grinders efficiently.
* Ensure consistency in coffee quality and presentation.
* Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a friendly attitude with customers and team members.
* Handle cash register/POS transactions accurately.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
* Refill stock, monitor inventory levels, and assist with ordering supplies when required.
* Follow opening and closing procedures of the café.
* Assist with food preparation and display where required.
* Manage busy service periods while maintaining efficiency and professionalism.
Skills & Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Barista in a café or hospitality environment.
* Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and milk texturing.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
* Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
* Team player with a positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
* Barista certification or hospitality training (preferred but not essential).
* Experience using POS systems and handling customer payments.
* Understanding of café operations and customer service standards.
