With a diverse portfolio of managed properties, we are known for our hands-on, proactive approach.We are seeking a Facility Manager to join our team and lead the effective management of allocated facilities, ensuring compliance, safety, and optimal performance.Position OverviewThe Facility Manager, working as part of a team, will oversee the operation and maintenance of high rise residential building infrastructure and common property assets, serving as the primary contact for technical and maintenance advice.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will ensure compliance with Australian Standards, codes of practice, and contractual obligations as well as overseeing the onsite team to deliver outstanding service to Owners Corporations and residents.Key ResponsibilitiesManage infrastructure and common property assets across assigned buildings.Oversee the performance of onsite team membersPerform on-site building management responsibilities.Oversee Opex and Capex budget expenditures and prepare budgets in collaboration with the Owners Corporation.Deliver timely, detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.Develop, review, and manage preventative maintenance programs and contractor performance.Report on asset conditions and champion sustainability initiatives.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including Essential Safety Measures (ESM) and OH&S; obligations.Liaise effectively with stakeholders, tenants, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and alignment with best practices.Utilize facilities management software (e.g., Mybos, Rapid Global) for record-keeping and reporting.Manage administrative tasks, including generating purchase orders, work orders, and invoicing approvals.Deliver Capex projectsRespond to after-hours emergency maintenance requests promptly.Attend internal meetings and professional development opportunities.Skills & Knowledge RequiredIn-depth understanding of regulatory, compliance, and legal requirements in facility management.Ability to identify risks and implement appropriate protective measures.Proven ability to manage multiple projects on time and within budget.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to convey information clearly.Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with stakeholders.Proficiency in prioritizing, delegating, and managing tasks across multiple disciplines.Problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver effective resolutions.Skilled in time management, planning, and goal setting to ensure task completion.Commitment to continuous learning and career development.Proficiency with facilities management tools and software.Attendance at SFG and OHS/toolbox meetings as required.Why Join Us?
