This is a career-defining role for a safety professional who understands that critical risks don't manage themselves.
You will lead the design, implementation and assurance of a Critical Risk Management (CRM) framework, ensuring controls are clearly defined, embedded and verified across operations.
Alongside this, you will play a key role in strengthening safety systems, governance and reporting capability, lifting both visibility and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end delivery of a multi-year CRM program
* Identify, validate and embed critical controls across high-risk activities
* Develop assurance frameworks, verification processes and reporting insights
* Partner with operational leaders to drive accountability and capability
* Strengthen Safety Management System governance and continuous improvement
* Lead audits, inspections and data-led risk analysis
* Provide expert guidance on regulatory and operational risk matters
What You Bring
* Experience in Critical Risk Management, control assurance or high-risk safety environments
* Demonstrated success delivering enterprise or multi-site safety initiatives
* Strong capability across systems, data, reporting and analytics
* Ability to influence and engage across frontline and executive levels
* Solid grounding in incident investigation and risk methodologies
* Background in transport, logistics, maritime or heavy industry is highly regarded
Technical Capability
* WHS legislation knowledge, ideally across VIC/TAS
* Exposure to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 frameworks
* Experience with safety systems and reporting platforms
* ICAM (or equivalent) investigation training preferred
* Formal WHS qualifications
