We are seeking an exceptional Senior Mechanical / Structural Engineer who excels in diverse challenges and is eager to make a meaningful impact.
In this role, you will immerse yourself in the realm of Mechanical and Structural Engineering, working on an array of projects centered around mining processing equipment.
* The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to ensure safe design and compliance with Australian Standards.
* You will be responsible for producing high-quality design and fabrication drawings, including required additional information such as welding standards, paint standards, tolerances etc, following drawing registration and control procedures.
* A key aspect of this role is collaboration with colleagues to check designs and calculations for accuracy and practicality.
* Additionally, you will undertake testing of equipment under development as part of this process.
* You will also analyze data and calculations to make design changes and improve the performance of machine upgrades and new equipment.
* Site travel may be required to gather information or details of installed machines to allow for engineering upgrades to be performed to accommodate change of operation or application.
* National and International site travel may also be necessary to provide engineering services, such as 3D scanning, DEM modelling, machine inspections and other customer requirements.
* Finally, you will perform root cause investigation of failed components and generate technical reports.
