Planning & Analytics (TM1) Analyst/Developer

As part of our continued growth in Retail & Consumer Consulting, we are seeking an experienced IBM Planning & Analytics (TM1) Analyst/Developer to support a major Australian retail client in delivering high-impact planning, reporting, and insight solutions.
This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne, offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail environment where your TM1 expertise directly influences commercial and operational decisions.
The Position
As a Planning & Analytics (TM1) Analyst/Developer at LTI Mindtree, you will play a critical role within a high-performing BI and Analytics team, owning the end-to-end delivery of IBM Planning & Analytics (TM1) solutions across planning, forecasting, and reporting.
You will work closely with finance, merchandising, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable, high-performing TM1 applications.
Key responsibilities include
* Designing, developing, testing, and deploying IBM Planning & Analytics (TM1) solutions
* Ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance across large TM1 applications
* Translating business requirements into technical designs, ETL processes, and reporting layers
* Optimising cube performance, rules, feeders, and TI processes
* Providing technical leadership across enhancements, upgrades, and new functionalityMaintaining application documentation, standards, and governance
* Supporting business users with insights, reporting, and system adoption
* Participating in TM1 upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
You are a hands-on TM1 professional who enjoys solving real business problems and working closely with stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
Technical experience
* 5+ years hands-on experience with IBM TM1 / Planning Analytics
* Strong experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing TM1 applications
* Proven experience supporting retail planning and reporting use cases, including merchandise planning
* Strong capability across the TM1 stack:
o Dimensions & hierarchies
o Complex rules & feeders
o Security design
o Server configuration and administration
* Experience building end-user templates using PAW and PAX (Active Forms / TM1 Web knowledge highly regarded)
* Strong Excel skills (VBA), plus exposure to Cognos Framework Manager and Command Centre
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
* Ability to work independently while contributing within a collaborative consulting team
* Strong customer focus and commitment to quality delivery
