Line of Service Internal Firm Services Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism IFS - Internal Firm Services - Other Management Level Senior Manager Job Description & Summary As a Senior Manager, Learning Partnering and Planning, you’ll play a vital role in business partnering by translating business and people priorities into strategic learning initiatives that drive capability, make a meaningful impact and operational excellence. You’ll work with clients across diverse Lines of Service, and partner with the broader learning, leadership and talent development team. This role also sits on the leadership team. Why PwC? What you’ll do: Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning learning experiences with line of service (LoS) goals and firmwide strategy. Serve as the primary liaison for LoS Learning Partnering, translating LoS strategies into learning plans that leverage firmwide solutions to avoid duplication and create consistency. Lead Learning Needs Analysis (LNA), skills assessments, and ROI evaluations to identify capability gaps and ensure impactful outcomes. Collaborate with Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) to convert skills needs into capability enablement. Ensure solutions are fit for purpose, leveraging data and insights to inform decisions and continuous improvement. Lead end to end planning and delivery of learning programs, strategic programs, and projects. Drive operational efficiency through effective resource management, forecasting, and governance across the learning function. Oversee program and project management, including strategic vendor engagement and cohort management (onboarding, engagement, feedback integration). Establish and lead the Learning Community of Practice to share best practices and foster collaboration. Implement governance frameworks for compliance, quality assurance, and risk management. Manage and develop a team of Learning Business Partners and Program/Project Managers, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance oversight. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. What we’re looking for: Strong consultative partnering skills; able to translate business needs into actionable, fit for purpose learning solutions in collaboration with Centres of Excellence (CoE). Strategic and systems thinking with the ability to connect business priorities to learning strategy and ensure portfolio alignment. High emotional intelligence (EQ), strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across a matrixed organisation. Clear, effective communication that provides direction, sets expectations, and drives alignment. Proven capability in resource planning, pipeline management, and portfolio prioritisation. Accountability, ownership, and a continuous improvement mindset with strong feedback loops. Innovation orientation; encourages new ideas to improve learning partnering and planning.
