Job Description
- Oversee and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present detailed financial statements to key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise financial performance and cost efficiency.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business planning and decision‐making processes.
- Manage cash flow and financial risk, ensuring the organisation's financial stability.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the year‐end audit process.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven expertise in accounting and finance, particularly within the Energy & Natural Resources industry.
- A professional accounting qualification such as CPA or CA.
- Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
- Exceptional analytical and problem‐solving abilities.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
