Coordinate, manage and deliver frontline administrative support in a busy Emergency Department while ensuring accurate patient data and exceptional service.

Remuneration: $71,072.43 - $73,287.41 per annum

What you'll be doing
As an Emergency Department Clerk, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department through accurate administration and effective communication. Key responsibilities will be to:

* Register patients and maintain accurate records using hospital systems (iPM, FirstNet)
* Manage admissions, documentation and patient information processes
* Provide professional frontline customer service to patients and families
* Handle payments, receipting and cash balancing responsibilities
* Coordinate communication with clinical teams and external services

Selection Criteria:

* Demonstrated extensive exceptional front-line customer service skills in a medical or hospital environment with ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
* Demonstrated computer literacy and data entry skills with the knowledge and use of IT applications including Microsoft Office and hospital-based information systems (iPM, FirstNet, Cerner, Powerchart).
* Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, high level verbal and written communication skills.
* An ability to work as an effective and efficient team member demonstrating initiative, judgement and contributing positively to team operations.
* Ability to work autonomously and actively participate within a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work.
* Demonstrated ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
