Details: The Environmental Offsets – Planning, Monitoring and Research team is seeking a motivated and capable Field Ecologist to support the delivery of the ACT Government's offsets monitoring program.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to biodiversity conservation outcomes across the ACT. The successful applicant will undertake field surveys, manage and analyse ecological data, and assist with reporting and research activities under the supervision of the Monitoring Ecologist.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
* Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent) in a field of Environmental Management or Biological Science, preferably including studies in Botany, Zoology or Ecology.
* Willingness to undertake incident management duties, including participation in fire standby, fire suppression and fire training.
* To be eligible for employment with the ACT Government, you must be in Australia on a visa with working rights or be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
There is one permanent position, and one temporary position available for a period of up to 12 months. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill other future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
