Cafe Food and Beverage Supervisor
We are seeking a highly skilled Cafe Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising staff in assigned areas, coordinating day-to-day operations, and ensuring exceptional guest service.
Responsibilities
* Supervise Staff: Lead and motivate hourly Team Members in assigned areas to ensure seamless operations.
* Schedule Management: Post weekly schedules in a timely manner to meet business volume demands.
* Professionalism: Maintain high standards of professionalism, work well with all Team Members, and promote a positive work environment.
* Guest Service: Ensure presentation level and timeliness of orders to maintain Guest satisfaction.
* Courteous Service: Provide excellent Guest service, adhere to Guest Service Standards, and resolve issues promptly.
* Coordination: Coordinate work areas, schedules, or duties as assigned to optimize efficiency.
* Inventory Management: Order products as needed to maintain par levels and ensure accurate inventory records.
* Documentation: Document significant occurrences for Managers using appropriate tools and reports.
* Leadership: Lead by example, assist Team Members on assigned shifts, and provide coaching and counseling when necessary.
* Financial Transactions: Adjust ticket transactions such as voids, splitting, and transferring checks following approved procedures.
* Time Reports: Monitor time reports for the department and ensure accuracy.
* Inventory Control: Assist with end-of-month inventory and maintain accurate records.
* Interdepartmental Coordination: Work cooperatively with multiple departments to monitor and control the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
Requirements
* Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Education: Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
* Experience: Supervisory experience in a hospitality operation with an emphasis on full-service food and beverage service is preferred.
* Certifications: Must complete ServSafe and Responsible Alcohol Service certification or have proof of current certification.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
* Guest Service Skills: Must possess excellent Guest service skills and ability to learn and operate point-of-sale systems.
* Judgment: Must have sound judgment and reasoning skills.
* Cash Handling: Must possess cash-handling skills and be able to communicate proficiently in English.
* Physical Ability: Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
* Lifting: Must be able to lift 25 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
Work Environment
* Noisy Environment: Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
* All Shifts: Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.
