Job details Randstad HR Partners is representing a leading financial services provider to join their dynamic People and Culture Division and step into a key Industrial Relations Specialist role for a 12 months fixed term contract. You will be responsible for providing expert, commercial advice and guidance to management and employees, ensuring the organisation operates in compliance with all people regulation and practices while supporting core operational activities. Key Responsibilities Act as the subject matter expert for industrial relations, interpreting legislation, industrial instruments, policies, and systems. Provide high-quality, timely advice on complex IR issues and proactively manage industrial risks. Lead or contribute to the negotiation and development of enterprise agreements. Conduct thorough workplace investigations (e.g., bullying, harassment, discrimination) and manage the resolution of employee grievances. Maintain effective relationships and communication with relevant unions and external stakeholders. Represent organisational interests in relevant tribunals and conduct continuous research on IR legislation and case law. Requirements Work experience: 3–5 years of relevant industrial relations work experience, with 5–7 years being desirable. Ideally most experience is in an industrial or employee relations role but open to HR generalists especially (HRBPs) who have come from unionised enviroments in a similar industry. Membership in the IR Society of Queensland is a plus. Skills: Proven ability to provide sound, strategic advice; excellent research, analytical, and project management skills; and strong written and verbal communication skills to negotiate and consult with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
