ABOUT THE ROLE
As aSenior Project Engineer, you will lead and deliver capital engineering projects across the Paddington Mill, ensuring they are executed safely, on time, and within budget. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll manage projects end‑to‑end, provide engineering expertise to operations, and drive continuous improvement across plant and infrastructure.
You'll work closely with site leadership, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically sound outcomes while maintaining strong governance, compliance, and commercial discipline.
KEY DUTIES AND TASKS
* Lead capital projects through all phases including feasibility, design, planning, procurement, execution, commissioning, and optimisation
* Deliver projects safely within agreed schedules and budgets
* Manage contractors and monitor contractor performance
* Develop, review, and maintain project‑related procedures, standards, and guidelines
* Provide engineering advice and technical support to management and site teams
* Review and maintain accurate technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and reports
* Undertake site inspections, compliance audits, and defect rectification initiatives
* Support regulatory compliance activities including licensing and permitting
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across plant and project delivery
* Respond to after‑hours project support requirements as operationally required
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
* Engineering degree inCivil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Process, or Metallurgy
* CurrentC Class WA Driver's Licence
* Strong project management capability across capital works
* Statutory SupervisorSchedule 26 (desirable)
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum5 years' experience in mineral processing or fixed plant environments
* Proven experience delivering engineering projects from inception to completion
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams
* Demonstrated experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with contractor management and performance evaluation
* Incident management and investigation experience
* Experience withSAP and HSE systems (EVOTIX, ChemAlert) desirable
* Ability to work in operational plant environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions
