Job Description:
This role is responsible for ensuring compliance, efficiency and customer satisfaction while supporting business growth initiatives.
The incumbent will oversee fleet operations, manage driver recruitment, plan deliveries and pickups, liaise with stakeholders and monitor operational KPIs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning deliveries and pickups in line with customer and legislative requirements
* Managing driver recruitment, onboarding, training and compliance
* Overseeing daily operations, including fleet utilisation, maintenance scheduling and vehicle inspections
* Liaising with workshop, customers and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient and timely service delivery
* Monitoring and reporting on operational KPIs, DIFOT performance and cost efficiencies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong background in road transport, logistics or fleet operations required. Proven supervisory experience managing drivers and vehicles across multi-site operations is essential.
Sound understanding of NHVR, Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility legislation necessary. Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities are also required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and transport management systems (Freightrack experience desirable).
