Key Role: Operations Manager
Nest Landscape Design is an award-winning company delivering some of the Gold Coast's most recognised residential landscapes.
This role requires an experienced Operations Manager to bring structure, leadership and energy to our operations. The successful candidate will look 4 weeks to 12 months ahead, ensuring projects are resourced, budgets are accurate and systems are sharp.
You'll work closely with the Director and lead through our Project Manager, Site Supervisors, Construction team and trusted Sub Contractors and Suppliers.
Responsibilities:
* Manage Cashflow and Budgets: Oversee cashflow forecasting, budgeting and reporting to ensure financial accuracy and stability.
* Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Manage procurement, purchase orders and subcontractor agreements to achieve quality and cost objectives.
* Technical Expertise: Provide technical input on construction methodology and sequencing to support project delivery.
* Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate council, certifier and engineer requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Safety and Quality: Lead safety and quality systems across multiple sites to maintain high standards.
* Mentorship and Support: Mentor and support supervisors and crews to enhance performance and productivity.
* Relationship Building: Create lasting relationships with our subcontractors and suppliers to drive business growth.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in systems and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
* Proven Experience: Proven construction operations management experience with a landscape background preferred.
* Financial Skills: Strong financial and forecasting skills to manage budgets and cash flow.
* Technical Knowledge: A sharp technical eye and ability to spot issues early to prevent delays.
* Communication Skills: Confidence engaging with clients, architects, builders and subcontractors to deliver results.
* Leadership Style: A collaborative leadership style that motivates teams to achieve goals.
