About Your New Role

Working as part of our dedicated team means you will have the unique opportunity to enhance the well‐being, comfort, and enjoyment of residents with a particular emphasis on providing a comfortable, clean, and homely environment. The role involves carrying out laundry and house cleaning tasks, as well as assisting with moving large items including furniture, beds and rubbish bins.

Duties

• Ensure rooms are kept clean and tidy.
• Replenishing supplies from the storeroom including receiving and storing goods.
• Assist with moving large items around the site including rubbish bins and furniture.
• Comply with infection control measures and food safety requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Schedule paperwork for each shift to be completed.
• Site common areas are included in tasks along with the resident rooms.
• Assistance with laundry tasks is a possibility.

Skills and Experience

• Ability to complete a busy and physically demanding workload and respond to changing priorities.
• A high level of comprehension and attention to detail.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to engage residents through a person‐centered approach to care and support.
• Relates to the aged care population with empathy, understanding, and respect.
• Ability to pass a National Police Check.
• Willingness to undergo a pre‐employment medical.
