Quantity Surveyor Role
This is a senior quantity surveyor position that involves performing various traditional quantity surveying functions, including estimating, planning, and cost management for clients in Geelong and Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaising with clients, architects, and main contractors to ensure smooth project execution
* Facilitating new business opportunities through strategic partnerships and negotiations
* Master-planning and feasibility budgeting to maximize project value
* Cost checking of developing designs to identify potential issues and optimize costs
* Value engineering to improve project efficiency and reduce expenses
* Tender evaluations and analysis to select the best options for clients
* Contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions
* Cash flow management to ensure timely payments and avoid delays
* Procurement of materials and services to meet project requirements
* Cost reporting to provide accurate and transparent financial information
* Evaluation of variations to determine their impact on project timelines and budgets
* Valuations to determine the worth of projects and assets
* Final account reporting to close out projects and resolve any outstanding issues
* Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation, and settlement to resolve disputes and protect client interests
* Investment analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
Requirements
* Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
