About the Role
Sustainable Plastic Solutions (SPS) is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Manager to lead operations at our state-of-the-art facility in Hamilton, VIC. Reporting directly to the CEO, this pivotal role will oversee the full scope of manufacturing activities—driving efficiency, quality, and innovation to meet growing customer demand.
At SPS, we specialise in producing high-quality resins that transform industrial, retail, and agricultural plastics into premium products, enabling a true circular economy.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, including production planning, inventory management, quality assurance, and equipment maintenance coordination.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing production workforce, ensuring a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
* Build and scale effective manufacturing teams through strategic hiring, training, and workforce development.
* Implement lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimise workflows.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and sales to align manufacturing capabilities with customer requirements.
* Monitor and analyse KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and provide actionable insights to the CEO.
* Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

About You
We are looking for a hands-on leader with the ability to deliver results while developing strong, cohesive teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* A proven track record in a manufacturing management role, ideally in plastics, packaging, or a related sector.
* Experience in hiring, developing, and building effective manufacturing teams to support growth and operational excellence.
* Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control practices.
* Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and project management skills.
* Proficiency in process improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma).
* High-level organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
