Your Role
Reporting to the CEO, you'll lead finance, commercial, and risk functions across the platform. Your remit: work with and amplify the value of the business, build a capable team, and establish financial frameworks that enable growth and financial discipline.
Based in northern Sydney.
You'll work hand-in-hand with solid entrepreneurial leaders to elevate their business through great financial management & freeing them to grow. This role suits a collaborative, emotionally intelligent leader who can influence through trust and deliver real value.
Key responsibilities:
Create bespoke financial processes while maintaining local business strengths
Build and develop a high-performing finance team
Establish robust reporting, governance, and capital management frameworks
Partner with operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and performance improvement
Support M&A activity, investment analysis, and long-term growth planning
Lead risk management and internal controls aligned with business scale and pace.
You're an experienced CFO or senior finance leader with a background in capital-intensive, operational sectors, such as waste, infrastructure, utilities, resources, or civil construction.
You'll bring:
Proven success in transforming businesses through growth
Strong commercial and financial modelling capability
Experience leading teams through scale-up or change
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
A pragmatic, hands-on approach suited to founder-led or mid-sized businesses
