Role
These roles will take ownership of rotating equipment maintenance, leading a highly skilled team to deliver safe, efficient operations. By implementing preventative plans, troubleshooting issues, and driving optimisation, you’ll keep performance at its peak. Working closely with planning and engineering teams, you’ll champion collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee safe execution of specialised maintenance activities.
- Manage planned and reactive (breakdown) maintenance tasks.
- Provide training and mentorship to build team capability.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical faults.
- Maintain rotating equipment including gearboxes, pulleys, pumps, and crushers.
- Complete laser alignment tasks using Rota‑align technology.
- Carry out pulley change‑outs (1‑28 tonnes), gearbox and motor replacements.
- Refurbish Warman pumps and rebuild Geho pumps.
- Maintain balance machines and conduct detailed mechanical inspections.
About You
- Full Australian working rights.
- Valid Construction White Card.
- Australian Driver’s Licence (C Class).
- Australian recognised trade qualification in: Cert III Engineering – Mechanical Fitting (MEM30219).
- Section 26 qualified or willing to obtain.
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience, with a broad foundation of technical skills and knowledge.
- Proven ability to coordinate major projects and shutdown maintenance activities.
- Solid experience in rotating equipment maintenance within mining or heavy industry.
- A natural leader with strong communication skills.
- Skilled in delivering training modules and facilitating learning sessions.
- Competent in emergency coordination and communication protocols.
- Proficient in maintaining accurate and reliable recording systems.
- Leadership or Frontline Management training (preferred).
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (preferred).
