The Organisation:
Mental Health Services, forming part of Mildura Base Public Hospital, offers a range of inpatient and community-based services for people with mental illness across the lifespan in the Northern Mallee Region. We promote and provide a work environment that embraces professional development and supports staff to maximize growth through internal and external education including Trauma Informed Care, Mental State Examinations, Psychiatric Assessment and more. About the Positions:
The Mental Health Early Careers Program offers nursing professionals a fully supported learning program that is delivered within a positive and safe environment. It aims to develop new skills, knowledge, applied experience and values for early career professionals to become effective members of the multi-disciplinary mental health team. Elements include:
· Rotations within different teams/settings
· Postgraduate study in mental health nursing
· Regular 1:1 discipline specific supervision
· Support from Nursing Educator
About You:
Registered Nursing Graduates will be new graduates from completing their Bachelor of Nursing Course.
Successful applicants with have an authentic desire to improve the lives of people with mental health conditions and to develop a career in an interprofessional setting. Your will be a keen and curious learner and passionate about delivering a high standard of care to consumers, families, carers and supporters. Candidates must meet the necessary key selection criteria outlined in the relevant position descriptions.
Positions are available to commence start of February 2026. These are offered as a 0.8 FTE, on a fixed term 24-month basis. Positions will involve shift work, including working across morning, afternoon and night shifts.

Academic Transcript
All 2nd and 3rd year clinical rotations in their entirety including all reflections, summative, formative assessments and timesheets.
If applicable, evidence of successful completion of an English Language Skills test must be submitted by the 31st August. (AHPRA)
