Medical Specialist Opportunity
The Youth Behavioral Health Hospital in Butner, NC seeks a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating and managing medical conditions in pediatric and adolescent youth hospitalized for psychiatric purposes.
Responsibilities:
* Evaluate and manage medical conditions in pediatric and adolescent youth hospitalized for psychiatric purposes
* Perform comprehensive medical assessments, address medical needs related to sexual activity, provide consultation on the medical management of chronic conditions, and guide the management of acute medical conditions that arise during psychiatric hospitalization
* Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
* Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements:
* Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program
* Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife) in the state of North Carolina
* Board certification if required by the Department
* DEA licensure
