Remuneration: $87,343.80 - $90,247.53 per anum + super + salary packaging

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Grade 3 Pharmacy Lead Technician to join our dynamic and supportive pharmacy team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within a modern, rapidly growing hospital in the Hunter region.

About The Role

The Lead Dispensary Technician provides advanced technical support within the hospital dispensary, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality supply of medications. You will play a key role in supporting pharmacy operations while contributing to service improvement and team leadership.

Working closely with pharmacists and technicians across Maitland, Kurri Kurri, and Cessnock Hospitals, you will help deliver exceptional, patient-centred care in a fast-paced yet supportive environment.

You Will

Provide advanced technical and operational support within the hospital dispensaryEnsure safe, accurate, and timely medication supply servicesSupport and guide pharmacy technicians, contributing to team development and workflow efficiencyCollaborate with pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient careContribute to quality improvement initiatives and best-practice processes

Requirements

Completion of a nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician Certificate Course at Certificate Level IV, or has qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent.

Additional Information

An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part time vacancies. To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa. We are unable to accommodate visa sponsorship for applicants requiring a visa for this position.This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
