The Recruitment Services branch within People, Safety, Culture and Communications (PSCC) provides expert advice and support to the department on all recruitment related matters, including attraction, selection, redeployment and other recruitment and retention practices. About the Role
The Security and Safety Officer reports to the Supervisor, Security and Safety.
**Some of your duties may include**:
- Coordinating the processing of criminal history and other relevant pre-employment checks for current and prospective employees for frontline and non-frontline roles, including:
- fit2Work Australian Criminal History Checks (ACIC)
- Providing high quality customer service and administrative support to internal and external stakeholders on a range of recruitment and security related matters
- Responding efficiently to enquiries received via the phone, electronically, in writing or in person in a professional, courteous manner

About You
- Experience in providing administrative support and customer service, ideally within a large or complex organisation, and in working with sensitive and confidential information
- Detail focus with the ability to undertake finely detailed work in a precise and accurate manner
- The ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with high volume processing activity
