A Federal Government Agency is seeking an experienced APS5 Program Coordinator to join a division undertaking major ICT programs to deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions that improve national services.
The APS5 Program Coordinator will play a key role in supporting program delivery teams responsible for technology-enabled business services. Operating under limited direction, this role involves moderately complex program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and governance support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of program strategies
- Provide project management, administrative support, and coordination at a senior level
- Develop and maintain reports, analyses, and program registers (risks, issues, dependencies)
- Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and value proposition
- Facilitate team meetings and manage the team Kanban board
- Act as a key communication link between team members and stakeholders
- Schedule and coordinate project meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders
- Safeguard program processes and ensure documentation accuracy
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to the team
Essential Criteria
- 4–6 years’ experience in a similar program coordination or project support role
- Robust administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in program/project management
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience working in projects, PMO, or business administration environments
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence
- Willingness to upskill and adapt to new tools and ways of working
- Enthusiasm for accessibility and inclusive design principles
