Role Description
This full‐time, on‐site Field Service Technician role is based in Wangaratta, VIC. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing various equipment in Pacific Hire's diverse rental fleet. This includes diagnostics, repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, assessing and reporting on equipment condition, maintaining accurate service records, and upholding workplace safety standards. The technician will also provide high‐quality customer support while performing on‐site tasks and collaborating with the broader team to ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Mechanical skills, including experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Basic understanding of equipment operation, maintenance practices, and safety protocols.
* Strong communication and customer service skills to provide effective support to clients.
* Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate service and repair records.
* Driver's license and capability to travel to clients' sites as needed.
* Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in mechanics or related disciplines are preferred but not required.
* A proactive approach to safety and environmental considerations.
* Experience in the equipment hire or construction industry will be considered an advantage.
