PR and Communications Manager - Hitachi Data Systems
The PR and Communication Manager's primary responsibility is to develop effective PR and communication strategies to drive awareness of Hitachi Data Systems and our offerings. The role supports our vision of creating a better world through social innovation technologies. These messages will be developed for the A/NZ market in conjunction with local, regional, and global spokespeople and help engage customers, partners, and employees with our brand value.
Key Areas of Ownership and Responsibility
External Communications
Public and Analyst Relations
Design, execute, and evaluate the PR / AR plan with the PR agency
Build content to enhance share of voice in the ANZ market
Develop thought leadership articles
Develop customer references and case studies
Ensure adherence with brand strategy and brand style in all communications
Customer and partner eNewsletters
Website content management
Social media strategy
Identify platforms and messages to focus on Twitter/FB/LinkedIn/Blogs
Training and development for local teams
Internal Communications
Monthly customer newsletter
Quarterly ANZ business newsletter
Develop and maintain the management team communications plan
Internal success stories
Input into surveys for the business and marketing team
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years marketing and communications experience
Solid relationships with media, journalists, and analysts
Awareness of PR landscape and media process
Understanding in the IT Industry
Familiar with CRM and CMS tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment which sometimes throws up daily deadlines and maintain meticulous attention to detail and proofreading skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong inter-departmental relationship skills
High degree of commitment and responsibility
Skills in HTML, Java, PhotoShop, Illustrator an advantage but not essential
