The Role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and working closely with broader finance team, you will provide hands-on support across day-to-day finance operations and tax compliance, ensuring effective cash management, accurate reporting, and strong internal controls. The key responsibilities of your role will include but not be limited to the following.
* Prepare and lodge GST and FBT returns, including reconciliations and supporting workpapers
* Monitor and interpret changes in taxation legislation and assess impacts on the organisation
* Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and internal tax policies
* Prepare tax-related journals, reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts
* Support audits and respond to tax-related queries from internal and external stakeholders
* Assist with process improvements to strengthen tax controls and reporting accuracy
The Candidate
You will be CA/CPA qualified or currently completing, detail-oriented and experience in finance and tax functions within a medium to large organisation. You enjoy working with data, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and balancing accuracy with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
